NextGen: What Does It Mean for You?
No matter what life stage you are in, if you are an adult, you're busy. In this age of super-sized work loads and insane schedules, it's tough to intentionally make meaningful connections. Through NextGen, our family ministry model, you get to do just that - connect and do life with other believers. But, the real beauty of NextGen is that it bridges the gap between the generations so you can connect with adults across all life stages. What will you learn from those who have traveled the road before you? What will you pass along to those coming behind you? NextGen gives you ongoing opportunites to learn from one generation so that you may influence the next.
Next Steps: Young to Median Adults
This component of our NextGen family ministry vision is geared toward connecting adults from their late twenties to about fifty years of age. You’re all about taking life’s major next steps. You may be just married and about to begin life as a newly married couple, you may be married with young or maturing children, or about to begin life as empty nesters. This life group is active, busy, involved and leading the way. If this describes you, you'll find many small groups and discipleship classes where you can do life with other believers including intergenerational groups where you can share experiences with others in different life stages. Second Half Ministry: Median to Senior Adults
If you are about 50 years old and older, you may consider yourself in the Second Half ministry. This group of go-getters is most likely parents of teens or adult children, or empty nesters enjoying relationships with older children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maybe you're still a vital part of the work force, or maybe you're enjoying the golden years of retirement. Either way, you know the value of hard work and a life well-lived and enjoy sharing important life experiences with others. Use these experiences to intentionally engage and shape the lives of others in different life stages. After all, that's what our NextGen ministry model is all about! You have many opportunities in which to engage - check out a few here:
